 THREADS FOR HOPE  Benefiting the AIDS Fundation of San Antonio

On Saturday December 5, 2009 the IADT International Academy Design & Technology Fashion Club in Association with SAAF San Antonio AIDS Foundation presented "Threads for Hope" Runway Show at the Bismarck Studios Contemporary Art Gallery.

 

The evening was an existing experience for teachers and fashion students whom presented 28 cocktail dresses and evening gowns inspired by many different sources making the show an interesting experience to see. The creations where made thinking  to dress the elegant woman, the chic city girl and the sexy playful vamp. The electronic beats by Dj Marissa Massiel set the mood of a successful evening in support of  the San Antonio AIDS Foundation .

SAAF was Founded in 1986, as an all volunteer-staffed hospice in the back of a bar, the San Antonio AIDS Foundation is the oldest HIV/AIDS community-based organization in Bexar County. 2009 marks SAAF’s 23st anniversary.The San Antonio AIDS Foundation or as it is more familiarly known, SAAF, has evolved from a seven-client organization to a multi-service agency reaching thousands of individuals every year through healthcare, support services and prevention education outreach. The San Antonio AIDS Foundation (SAAF) has the dual mission to provide compassionate care and services to people with HIV/AIDS and to help prevent the spread of HIV.
