On June 10, 2009, the Grammy®-winning award COLDPLAY made its debut in San Antonio, TX at the AT&T Center presenting the Viva LaVida Tour to promote its new Album: "ViVa La Vida or Death and All His Friends." The concert was opened by the great band Snow Patrol, they played for about 45 min, it was wonderful to heard the vocalist Gary Ligthbody's sing with his warm vocals the love master piece "Chasing Cars" -my personal favorite-. Howling Bells was also another talented, young British band  invited to open the concert.

The acclaimed British band COLDPLAY made its appearance on stage around 8:00 pm, giving an AMAZING show! They opened the concert with the songs "Life in Technicolor" and "Violet Hill" from their new album, followed by the international hit "Clocks". they also played, "In My Place", "The Scientist" and "Green Eyes" form the album: "A Rush of Blood to the Head".The song that everybody was waiting to hear was "Yellow", from its #1 debut Album: Parachutes, they also played "Fix you", "Talk "(techno version) and" The Hardest" Part among others.

Just to had listen Chris Martin to sing is pure food for the soul, its beautiful simple lyrics, with an unusual and sincere optimism made the 12,500 people at the AT&T Center experienced that energy that is unusual in a concert. Probably that's why COLDPLAY is considered the band of the new millennium so far. The scenario changed for every song they played, big yellow balloons came from the stage at the moment, when they played 'Yellow'. The climax of the night was when the band walked to the second floor of the AT&T Center to play some covers like, Billy Jean from the ex-pop star Michael Jackson,  Martin made people sing and light their cell phones to make the wave at the sound of his voice, it was a very powerful feeling!

The visual and emotional experience, the mix of vulnerable and confident guitar of Jonny Buckland, the Guy Berryman's melodic basseline, the thoughtful drumming of Will Champion and Chris Martin's soft, melancholic voice and its playful personality made this concert a very interactive experience that is going to stay in our memory for a life.MZ
